2005
After a local Christmas special at the Lion in Stoke Newington and new year rehearsals, Morning Bride play the Spitz in Whitechapel, East London; a Valentine's Day photoshoot, also at Beaucatcher, follows painfully early the next morning.
Three songs are four-tracked live in March as a temporary calling card, selectively circulated as 'The Dalston Sampler' (see 'music' page).
Spring activities continue with another show at the Lion followed by a second Drones Club appearance, this time at the Others, (Stamford Hill, North London) with Bobby Conn in mid-June.
Summer
New songs are delivered in time for a welcome return to the Spitz in July (with Imogene and Carmen Rosa) after which the Bride prepare for a busy month - both the n16 festival appearance and recording sessions for the debut release beckon within the next few weeks.
Morning Bride play the N16 festival 2005 on a warm summer's evening in the sublime, 16th century surroundings of St. Mary's Church, to a packed and loved-up congregation; a very special night for all involved.
August ends with a weekend in the studio in Bow, east London, recording four songs with Ed Deegan (White Stripes, Holly Golightly) at the controls; the sessions pass off beautifully, and preparations begin for the debut release in the near future.
Autumn
September begins with a show at The Others, Stamford Hill, London (with The Washington Rays) and continues with a further session in the studio, this time to mix and master the debut recordings. All energies are channeled towards the production of the debut single and the launch party in north London in November.
'Isabelline' / 'Replica', Morning bride's limited edition debut single, is released at a special launch party on November the 12th at the Others in north London. All copies sell out before the band takes the stage and the doors are closed early after the venue fills beyond capacity.
Winter
November continues with a semi-acoustic show at Ryan's Bar, Stoke Newington, on the 25th, the first of several such performances planned for the winter ahead.
a second semi-acoustic show follows on december 11th, at a special party to celebrate the first anniversary of our good friends at Beaucatcher - also the first birthday of Morning Bride, after officially debuting at the same location and date last year.
The remaining weeks of the year are spent planning and booking for 2006, and distributing the debut single to potentially worthy recipients in the media and business.
